The roots of SageTrader trace back to the floors of America's options exchanges. For over 40 years, our team has been at the center of the markets clearing for options market makers in the trading pits, building proprietary margin technology, and pioneering portfolio margining for the US securities industry.

Clearing operations for options market makers on the floors of America's exchanges, with roots in the Chicago Board Options Exchange
Pioneering real-time risk and client position tracking - Sage Clearing was the only options firm calculating risk on a real-time basis when the SEC selected it for its risk-based haircuts pilot in the late 1980s
The first implementation of portfolio margining for the US securities industry, pioneered by founder Doug Engmann under the SEC's 2005 pilot
